Coming your way this fall:
#wipWork in progress is just that...a work in progress. Our goal is to bring you a fresh take on everyday objects while highlighting not only the designers we collaborate with, but also the manufacturers who bring the products to life. With each launch, we will take you behind the scenes and introduce you to the makers, the materials they work with, and their processes. We will always do our best to be transparent with our processes, material choices, and who we choose to manufacture with and why. Our collection is intended for both residential and commercial spaces. Get ready, because we won’t be shying away from color! Follow along as we launch our forthcoming rug collection over the next few weeks.
Meet the designer.
Meet Jessica Poundstone, the fabulous designer of our debut rug collection! Jessica is an artist living and working in Portland, Oregon. Jessica has been featured by Real Simple, SFMOMA, Anthropologie, Dwell, Supersonic, designlovefest and more. She was also named a Top 100 Artist by Saatchi Art.
Jessica has also been featured by some incredible interior designers like Emily Henderson, Natalie Myers, Summer Thornton, and Tilton Fenwick, and is up on the walls of collectors in New York, L.A., London, Paris and everywhere in between. Her work is informed and inspired by color sensation, color field, minimalism, and experiential “light and space” art movements.
The Work in progress team loves working with Jessica because she’s a super cool human and fun to work with. In addition to that, her art was destined to be translated into rugs, and we were so thrilled to work with her to bring these textiles to life.
Jessica believes that art is part of a self-care practice that changes the way we see, think & feel - and ultimately changes us. We love that WIP rugs are born from these sentiments and hope they translate as customers bring these rugs into their homes. We are looking forward to expanding the collection even further with Jessica this Fall as we collaborate on a series of pillows and throws.
